Generously sized, with a wealthy indigo hue, Maine mussel shells are excellent for the desk. We’ve used them as impromptu pinch pots for salt and pepper or, as right here, for simple votive candles. Scatter these tea lights down the middle of the desk or on the mantel to maintain a little bit of summer season going by way of fall and past. (Don’t have mussels readily available? Any substantial seashell will do.)
